Le logiciel libre et l'Open Source représentent de nombreuses méthodes de diffusion des connaissances et logiciels. Ces méthodes disposent toutes d'un point commun : celui de favoriser l'utilisateur. En effet, avec un logiciel sous ce type de licence, l'utilisateur est libre de faire usage, de modifier et de distribuer le logiciel comme il le souhaite. Pour autant, la diffusion de ce type de logiciels et des méthodes ouvertes de production de connaissances associées sont plus ou moins répandus selon les secteurs de l'économie. La Journée du Libre se penche cette année sur un secteur déterminé : celui de la finance au Grand-Duché de Luxembourg. Qui sont les utilisateurs du libre dans ce secteur ? Quelles sont, pour ce secteur, les difficultés, les limites actuelles de ce type de solutions ? Des utilisateurs viendront exposer leurs cas d'étude. Ce sera une occasion réelle de comprendre les liens entre le milieu de la finance et le logiciel libre au Grand-Duché.

On Friday 24th of March the GRAOULUG is organizing their annual "Journée Logiciel Libre". It take place at the IUT of Metz at the campus "Saulcy". The access to the event is free for everyone.

On the 22nd of March 2006 the second edition of the "Salon des Bonnes Pratiques" take place at the CRP Henri Tudor from 9h30 to 19h30. The Innovation platform "Free and Open Source" will be present on this fair with a booth where companies, projects and the platform it self will present the "Free and Open Source" concept in the scope of best practices.
